David Huber
A life long auto enthusiast, David Huber is the owner of and driver for Huber Automotive Racing. He acquired his racing license in 2010 and has been competing ever since. His favorite event is the Vintage Grand Prix in Watkins Glen which also happens to be his favorite track to race on. While the 280ZX is his primary car, he still enjoys sliding through the corners in the nimble 510.
The Race Cars

Originally driven by R.D. Smith during the 80's IMSA GT Series, the 280ZX has been a part of the Huber Family for decades. With Huber Datsun hand painted across the front air dam, the 1979 coupe competed at The Ford Dealers 500, Road Atlanta, Road America, Mid-Ohio Sports-car Course, and many more. In the late 80's, the car was retired and moved to storage. There it sat for nearly two decades. 2010 came and David Huber, now owner of the newly independent Huber Automotive, purchased and restored the weathered race car. It took three years to get the 280 back into racing form. Today, you can see the car competing in the SVRA Vintage Racing Series at tracks across eastern United States, still sporting its original black, orange, and yellow livery with Huber Datsun across the front air dam!Â
